LGBTQ+ Suicide Awareness Training
Suicide is a complex and emotive subject but by talking about suicide, we increase the chances of preventing suicide.
Everyone has a role to play in suicide prevention, and it often begins with improving suicide awareness.
About the training
Our LGBTQ+ Suicide Awareness Training is designed to increase understanding of suicide within the LGBTQ+ community.
Shaped by lived experience and clinical insight, it explores suicide risk, potential warning signs and offers practical guidance on how to support someone who may be struggling.
Who is the training for?
This course is for anyone who wants to better understand suicide risk in LGBTQ+ communities - including LGBTQ+ people themselves, allies, friends and family members, and those working in professional or community roles.
Our hope is that more people feel equipped to recognise when someone may be struggling and confident to offer meaningful, compassionate support.
The course is open to all, though the content is most suitable for people aged 16 and over.
